Jaron's 3rd Birthday

Jaron turned 3 years old on October 22. This year, we had a CARS party. Grammy made Cars jello and Uncle John made a Cars cake with tire cupcakes. Guests included Kate, Megan, Drew and Tommy as well as immediate family. This was his best party yet! The kids had so much fun playing together and all the adults were much more relaxed! Nanna and Poppa helped out with the kids while Mommy and Daddy got ready for the party and Grammy made all the salads. Aunt Janina also made a salad and helped things go smoothly. Thanks to everyone for coming and helping Jaron celebrate his 3rd birthday!

Games

For games, we set up Jaron's car mat and let the kids play with all of Jaron's cars figurines that Aunt Ang/Uncle Anthony & Mom/Dad bought him for presents. We had a Lightning McQueen pinata. The best game by far was a tire bean bag toss! Of course, the kids had more fun just playing with the tire! They rolled it back and forth to each other, ran circles around it, and naturally, climbed in it! That would have amused them for hours! Aunt Janina and Uncle John gave out remote control cars for prizes!

Presents

Jaron received so many nice gifts from everyone! Mommy and Daddy have lots of work to do to find room to put everything! His favorite gifts were his Jeep from Nanna and Poppa and his Diego rescue center from Grammy and Pappy. The Jeep is awesome and all the kids had fun taking turns driving it. Kate still beats the boys in the "best driver" category! It can go through mud and rocks and even has a working radio! Jaron will be using it in low gear for awhile I'm sure!

cake

Jaron knew just what to do when it was time to sing Happy Birthday. He sang along and blew out the candles when we finished singing. Then Jaron wanted to open all of his toys to play with. We gave that job to Grammy!

Busy Boys

It's hard to keep up with our boys these days! (And I'm sure it's only going to get worse!) You can't turn your back on Landon for a minute. I found him in the cat's water bowl yesterday, not once, but twice! The second time he succeeded in splashing the water all over himself AND the floor which required a second bath! Jaron had his first trip to the Dentist today. They cleaned and counted all 20 teeth. He sat like such a big boy in the dentist chair and opened so wide! We all went to McDonald's playland and then visiting Mommy and Daddy's works afterwards.

3 year pictures

Jaron had his 3 year pictures today. He was such an angel and smiled spontaneously. And to think that when he was 3,6,9, and 12 months old, Mommy, Daddy and Grammy had to go to the sittings and work up a sweat to get even a grin out of him! He went to his 3rd swimming lesson tonight and laughed and smiled the whole time we were in the pool. It is so nice to see him enjoying an activity!

Hayride

It was a gorgeous day today! We got to go to a cornmaze and hayride with Grammy and Pappy. Jaron led us through the cornmaze and even found the way out! We saw some beautiful views from the hayride. Jaron still loves his tractors.

Buzz and Woody

Jaron wanted to see Landon in his Woody costume so we got him dressed again in his Buzz Lightyear costume. Landon didn't want to wear his cowboy hat and got a kick out of taking it off as soon as we put it on him!

On the go

Landon is having fun putting food in his mouth. His coordination is getting so much better. He had applejuice for the first time on Wednesday. His crawling is getting better each day. Jaron got his Halloween costume in the mail. He is going to be Buzz Lightyear. He tried it on and took off running with his arms out in the air. Before we knew it, he flew in the air landing on his stomach on the kitchen tile floor. After the shock wore off, he looked at me and said "But Mommy, I thought when I was Buzz Lightyear that I could fly!" He honestly thought he could fly! Good thing he only got the wind knocked out of him and a bump on his forehead!

Pumpkin patch

We made it to the pumpkin patch this week and picked out all of our pumpkins, gourds and hay bales. Jaron had so much fun running around and trying to carry huge pumpkins! Landon was fascinated with them. We got home and Jaron put some pumpkins in his backpack and took them to school.
