Christmas at Grammy and Pappy's

Grammy made us a wonderful Christmas dinner. Then it was round #2 of present opening. Jaron got a TAG reading system and Landon got a Leap pad computer. We stayed all day and into the evening. Then it was home to pack for our next Christmas visit.

Merry Christmas!

We actually had to wake the kids up on Christmas morning because they stayed up so late lastnight. Santa left lots of presents and stocking stuffers. Jaron loved his Screamin Banshee and Landon got his scooter just like his big brother has! They both got lots of Star Wars decor for their new bedrooms from Mom and Dad.

Christmas Eve

We had a terrible ice storm today. We all got home safely from work but Grammy and Pappy couldn't get out of their driveway to join us this year. We ate a delicious seafood and pasta dinner but had lots of leftovers without our other half here. The kids were filled with excitement awaiting Santa. We watched the Santa radar and left him cookies and carrots for the reindeer!

Cousins

The Koons' came to PA this weekend so Ron took the kids overnight to Nanna and Poppa's to see them. They had a blast seeing their cousins again. They had fun sledding even though it was freezing outside! Mommy and Nanny missed this visit.

Christmas baking

We baked lots of Christmas cookies this year and exchanged with Grammy so we had quite a variety. Daddy helped the boys with their gingerbread train that Aunt Janina got them (thanks Aunt Janina!). Our favorite are our sugar cookies, each one carefully decorated!

Christmas gathering

Aunt Kelly, Zosia, Aunt Janina, Kate and Megan came for a visit today. We had a nice Christmas get together. The kids had fun running and playing together. We made Zosia's clay handprints and the bigger kids got to make mittens with their handprints on. Thanks for the visit girls!

Happy Birthday Grammy!

We had a birthday party for Grammy at our house. The kids had fun making her a cake with sprinkles.

Christmas Party

We attended Ron's work Christmas party again this year. They host such a nice party for the children. Landon wasn't afraid of Santa this year. As soon as they called his name, he went running across the floor, jumped up on Santa's lap and gave him a big hug! Our kids even loved the Grinch (despite seeing other kids crying when he walked in).

1st day of hunting season

Ron and Carl both shot a deer on the first day of hunting season. Carl was one of the first shots in the morning and Ron was only out for about 15 minutes before getting his. We'll have lots of deer meat!

Happy Birthday Janene!

We had a birthday party for Janene at Grammy's house the day before her birthday. She was able to go out hunting on her birthday and both Carl and Ron got her a deer for her present. Carl got a 7 point buck shortly after 7am and Ron came home with a doe after only 15 minutes of being in the bush. We will spare you non-hunters the pictures.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! One of our best ones yet! We were blessed that we could bring both Nan and Aunt Bev home for the day to spend Thanksgiving with us. It was a warm day so after dinner we were able to get outside for some pictures. Later that evening, Landon gave Nan a hairdo! We hope you all had a great holiday!

Paint

We have color! The upstairs painting is finished and they started the downstairs. They also painted the inside of our front door. The last section of stone and dryvit on the exterior is finished.

2nd week of November

They have finished the drywalling, buried our propane tank and began our sandmound this week. Carl installed our garage doors.

We love you Nanny!

Our Nanny passed away peacefully on November 19 with her family at her side. She was a wonderful person, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to all who knew her. We will always have fond memories of her and the great times we shared. She was the kindest, most caring person we knew. Thank-you to all for your phone calls, cards, prayers and mass cards. We'll miss you "Butt"!

Jaron's Pre-Kindergarten Class Picture

This was the first portrait that we couldn't be there to see how Jaron smiled or to choose his photos. We were very nervous about how the pictures would come out and ordered the smallest package.............needless to say, Jaron did a great job without us and took his best picture yet!
