Look How Far We've Come!

It's hard to believe we started with a wooded lot! Just to re-cap, we started clearing the land in November, 2007. We rented a chipper for a week in March and then were able to finish the rest of the clearing in April and May. The building process officially began on June 23, 2008. The excavator dug out the stumps and rough graded the land. The next day he dug the hole for our foundation. From there, things have been moving very quickly. They poured the footers, poured our foundation, finished the subfloor and now are 75% finished framing the first floor. The excavator was there all day today backfilling. We've been quite busy still working, driving to the new house in the evenings, and still keeping our house tidy in hopes of prospective buyers stopping in.
